Holiday Closing

The library will be closed January 1st and 2nd. We will reopen at 10:00am on Saturday, January 3rd. The outside bookdrop will also be locked, any fines resulting from this closing will be waived upon request.

Book Fair to Benefit Trussville Library!


Christmas shopping for the young bookworms in your life just got easier. At the Trussville Public Library’s upcoming Usborne Book Fair, Nov. 20-23, you’ll find an amazing selection of books, activity packs, learning palettes and other educational products for children, babies through preteens.

Usborne offers over 1300 titles ranging from baby board books to traditional classics like Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. So whether the young readers on your list enjoy science fiction, puzzles, Bible stories or picture books, shopping to suit their tastes won’t get any easier this holiday season.

The hours for the Usborne Book Fair at the Trussville Library are:

Thurs., Nov. 20 – 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.Fri., Nov. 21 – 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.Sat., Nov. 22 – 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.Sun., Nov. 23 – 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.If you can’t make it to the library, shop online at www.ubah.com/BF25495. All Usborne sales made through the Trussville Library, whether online or at the book fair, will earn free books for the library.

Important News!

The staff of Trussville Library would like to welcome Emily Tish as our new Library Director. She will begin on September 2, 2008!

Also, we need to revise our Labor Day closings. Due to scheduled computer system maintenance that will cause our computer system to be down the entire day, the library will be closed for a staff workday on Thursday, August 28, 2008. We will now be closed on Friday, August 29, 2008. The library is having some repairs completed during this time. In addition, we will be closed Labor Day weekend, August 30 through September 1. We plan to resume normal hours on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Please note that the library book drop will be locked during these five days. Any fines due to our closing will be waived. Please remind the staff if you turn in materials that were due during this time, so you are not charged. Thank you for your patience. Have a happy Labor Day weekend!
